Car Park and Drop Off
The Museum has its own customer parking area outside the Main Entrance. Although there are no designated accessible bays, there is a lot of space and customers can park close to the Museum Entrance.
Access at Entrance
The Main Entrance has a single door that opens outwards and there is weather protection provided. Entry is gained via a ramp that leads from the Car Park to the Entrance. A further ramp is located at the Main Entrance and leads into the Museum and to the Reception Desk.
The Main Reception is to the right as you proceed off the entrance ramp. Payments are made at Reception to gain access to the Museum.
The toilets are all located on the ground floor. There are male, female and accessible toilets provided. On special event days, there is a Cafe serving hot and cold food and drink. The Museum also has a Shop on the mezzanine level and a stair lift is provided for any visitor who may have difficulty using the stairs.
Access to All Areas
The Museum is housed in the old Tram and Bus Shelter. As such the flooring is cobbled and there are tram lines running the length of the building. Caution should be taken when in the Museum as, by its nature, some of the flooring is a little uneven.
