There are bus stops that are less than a minute walk to the museum. Buses 16, 74, 78, 79, 101 and 8c all pass the end of Vyse Street. The Jewellery Quarter train and metro tram station are approx 50 metres from the museum.
Car Park and Drop Off
There is no car parking facility at the Museum of the Jewellery Quarter, however there is a pay and display car park on Vyse Street for more than 500 cars. There is also a street pay and display parking within the vicinity of the museum.
Access at Entrance
The Museum of the Jewellery Quarter has two Entrances. The Main Entrance has two steps leading up to a single door that opens in, this Entrance is located on Vyse Street. The Museum of the Jewellery Quarter also has a step free Entrance which is located on Branston Street, this Entrance has a gate, there is also an intercom which visitors will have to use to gain entry via this entrance. Staff will then assist visitors into the museum.
The Reception Counter is located at the far end of the shop from the Main Entrance. The Reception Counter also serves as the Shop payment counter. Staff at the Reception Counter are very friendly and helpful and will assist visitors in any way possible.
The museum has a newly opened Tea Room with a variety of delicious sandwiches, traditional cakes and a selection of hot and cold drinks. A courtyard provides outdoor seating in summer months. The museum also has both male and female toilets, an accessible toilet and a dedicated baby change room.
Access to All Areas
Inside the museum, a lift makes all areas accessible for wheelchair users. Owing to space limitations in the factory area only one wheelchair can be accommodated at any one time. There is plenty of room within the museum rooms for wheelchair users to move around easily.
