Car Park and Drop Off

It is possible to drop off on Brindley Place directly outside the SEALIFE Centre. There are pay and display Car Parks also close by at Brindley Place and the South Car Park for the National Indoor Arena.

Transport

Buses stop along Broad Street within approximately 300 metres of the SEALIFE Centre.

Access at Entrance

There are both stepped and a level approach to the Main Entrance on Brindley Place. The building is accessed by any of 3 sets of double doors which are held open when the SEALIFE Centre is open.

Reception

The reception counter is at multiple heights which are suitable for all visitors. The reception desk is directly ahead having entered the building.

A fast track entry desk is provided for annual pass holders to gain preferential entry. The fast track desk is situated in the reception lobby at the main entrance.

Facilities

The Fin Zone is a childrens play area adjacent to reception on the ground floor.

Accessible toilets are located in the childrens play area on the ground floor. There is a baby change unit in the accessible toilet as well as the general female toilet block.

The Cafe is located on the lower ground floor of the building offering a range of hot and cold drinks and snacks. The Cafe can be accessed by stairs or a passenger lift.

The Gift Shop is located on the lower ground floor and stocks a large range of gifts and souvenirs.

Throughout the walkway housing the exhibits, there are a number of aquariums that have low level viewing areas that can be accessed by all.

All of the exhibits and attractions at the SEALIFE Centre are accessed via a ramped walkway over several floors. There is a natural route to follow through the attraction. The average ramp gradient is 1:15. A lift at the top level returns visitors to the reception level and exit. Visitors should note that part of the exhibit is a hall of mirrors which may be confusing to some. This area can be bypassed with staff assistance.

There are sensory exhibits at the centre with visitors able to touch some of the sea creatures.

There is a 4 dimensional Cinema at the top of the building.

Access To All Areas

A passenger lift provides access from the ground floor to the Cafe and Gift shop in the basement.

There are alternative stairs to the Cafe and Gift Shop on the lower ground floor.

There are ramps with an average upward gradient of 1:15 to access the aquarium exhibits.
