Car Park and Transport
St Martin's Church is located in a pedestrianised area in the heart of the City. The Church does not have its own Car Park but there are several public Car Parks located around the Bullring and China Town, all within a few minutes walk of the Church. Birmingham New Street Railway Station and the new Digbeth Bus Station are both within a five minute walk of the Church.
Access at Entrance
There are three Entrances to St Martin's Church all approached from a wide, smooth paved area in Birmingham's Bullring. The Main Entrance to the Church has an Entrance Lobby which can be negotiated by wheelchair users. The Shop Entrance is also accessible to wheelchair users. Please note that access from the Side Entrance into the Church is via stairs.
There are staff and volunteers available at the Helpdesk, in the Shop and in the Tea Room who are very helpful and ready to assist visitors with enquiries or put them in contact with office staff.
Apart from the Church, which hosts regular services, St Martin's complex boasts a popular Tea Room, a Shop, displays of Local Art in the main body of the Church, and a number of meeting rooms for hire. The Helpdesk offers advice to people with a wide variety of problems. There are accessible toilets available in the Tea Room and in the basement.
Access to All Areas
The Church has wide aisles between the pews, with level flooring offering good access throughout. During services a table is brought to the front so that the mobility impaired who cannot reach the high alter may receive Communion. The Helpdesk is at a low level, allowing wheelchair users easy access. All other facilities within the complex are accessible via ramps, a platform lift and passenger lifts.
